A ‘pill on a string’ developed by researchers at the University of Cambridge could help doctors detect oesophageal cancer – cancer of the gullet – at an early stage, helping them overcome the problem of wide variation between biopsies, suggests research published in the journal Nature Genetics.
Gastroacademy is an online platform developed by AACRES Ltd. for sharing information and discussion between public and heath care professionals. Since 2006, AACRES has been promoting and supporting many websites with primary goal of spreading awareness of medical practices and literature to both the general public and health care professionals alike. Gastroenterological diseases are common and a significant health budget is spent by many countries to tackle these illnesses. Over the last decade the prevalence of gastrointestinal and liver cancers are steadily increasing, making public awareness and prevention ever more acute. This website allows public to develop better understanding of these cancers and help in interaction with health care professionals to spread the awareness.
